4th Annual Denver AADE 3 Gun Shoot 

The AADE 4th Annual 3 Gun match will be held on May 17, 2019 at the Bar Star Ranch www.barstarranch.com located at 21105 Elkhorn Road (County Rd. 15) Como CO. 80432, courtesy of Diamond T Services, Inc.

Shoot time starts at 10:30 am, with breakfast starting at 7:30, team check-in time starting at 8:00 and a safety briefing at 10:00.

There will be a target sight-in range for quick check to make sure your rifle and pistol are sighted in.

Camp spots will be available Tursday and Friday evening on site.  Tents or campers welcome and water is available at check in site.  You'll need to bring a generator if electricity is needed.

AADE is very pleased to have the use of this ranch for it's tournament and needs your support to ensure that it will be a success.  Come to South Park and shoot in some of the most beautiful country that Colorado has to offer. 

Your participation can guarantee that the AADE 3 Gun match will be a great success and that the AADE Scholarship Fund can make a difference for students at Colorado School of Mines, University of Wyoming and Montana Tech.

For those of you who are not familiar with 3 Gun Competition, it is a shooting event using a combination of a semi-automatic rifle (AR type platform is most popular), a shotgun and a pistol (semi-auto usually).  One, two or all three types of guns may be used in any particular station.  This is a time and accuracy scored event with various scenarios to test your skill level.  Wear comfortable shoes/boots, as theree is movement at most stations.  DON'T BE AFRAID TO COME PLAY IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE THIS BEFORE, YOU'LL HAVE A BLAST!

Be advised:  Elevation is approximately 8,800'.  Be sure to hydrate properly.

The individual matches may require any combination of the above referenced firearms, could be all 3, a combination of 2 of them or even just one of them. The idea is to have fun and test your skills. Holster, mag holders and shotgun shell holders will be needed as you may be required to reload in the course of each match but again, these items could be shared by the teams if necessary.

THE KEY IS TO HAVE FUN SO DON’T LET THE FACT THAT YOU MAY NOT HAVE PARTICIPATED IN AN EVENT LIKE THIS KEEP YOU FROM COMING OUT!

Breakfast: 7:30 - 9:00 am

Check in:  8:00 - 9:45 am

Safety Briefing:  10:00 am

Shoot Begins: Immediately following Safety Briefing (approx. 10:30)

Lunch/Dinner will be served after the shoot

Ammo requirements (ESTIMATE)

2 boxes (qty. 50) shotgun shells (7-1/2 or 8 shot, low brass)

3 boxes pistol cartridges (qty. 150)

5 boxes rifle cartridges (qty. 100)

More ammo can be brought if you want to shoot some more.

It is suggested that you have minimum of 2 magazines for both pistol and rifle.

Some matches may require 20+ rounds fired from each firearm so plan accordingly if you are using single stack magazines.
