PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

To provide awareness of correct procedures and precautions to take when entering/working within confined spaces.

OBJECTIVES

After completing this module students will be able to:

• Define what a confined space is.
• Identify typical confined spaces.
• Understand the difference between a confined space and a permit required confined space (PRCS)
• Understand hazard of confined spaces & entry therein.
• Understand duties of Entry Attendant, Supervisor, and Entrant.
• Understand requirements of PRCS Entry permit.
• Understand what type of training is required.
• Understand the requirements of entry without a permit & when allowed.
• Understand requirements of rescue needs & services.
