Reimagine Appalachia:

What Would A Green New Deal that Works for Appalachia Look Like?

Help us build a progressive future as we put together a blueprint for action.

Speakers and stakeholders from West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Ohio will form a blueprint to amplify our voices to expand economic opportunity AND reduce our greenhouse gas output.

Break-out sessions will include:

  • The role of Appalachia and the Ohio River Valley in the national movement to address climate change.
  • Analysis of the Forces eroding job quality in our region-and of practical ways to restore shared prosperity.
  • Discussion of greenhouse gas emissions, energy use and energy spending by sector, state and the region as a whole.
  • Power mapping, regional messaging discussion, and planning for outreach strategy to presidential candidates and state and local candidates/officials.

All attendees must book their room at Oglebay for the evening of March 26. Please ask for the Reimagine Appalachia group rate (ends on February 28).

Please register and book your room by February 28 to be considered for a scholarship. Scholarship recipients will be notified by March 4.
