Transit-Ready Development Breakfast

Focus on Durham-Orange Light Rail Transit Station Area Planning

Join us for a special breakfast meeting on Transit-Ready Development in the Triangle on Thursday, May 25th, at 8:00 AM (registration begins at 7:30 AM) at the RTP Headquarters at 12 Davis Drive. Click below to register for this free event.

This event is an opportunity to see new station area planning results along the Durham-Orange Light Rail corridor and provide input about market potential.  After a project introduction from GoTriangle and the consultant team, a diverse set of panelists and speakers will provide insight into best practices in Transit-Ready Development, infrastructure design & finance, and affordable housing.

Over the past year, with a grant from the Federal Transit Administration, GoTriangle and partners have engaged a national and local team of urban design, development and transit consultants to engage in initial land planning and value capture activities for the station areas along the Durham-Orange Light Rail Transit corridor.  The market assessment and station area planning done so far will be valuable not only for the light rail corridor, but for future planning efforts along other planned bus rapid transit and rail corridors in the region.

This event is hosted by GoTriangle, Triangle J Council of Governments, and Gateway Planning.
