Chesapeake Employers' Community Care Training

Chesapeake Employers Insurance is offering two FREE training seminars. These seminars are open to all Maryland employers as well as the general public. They will run back-to-back on the same morning, with a 30-minute break in between sessions. Breakfast and a light snack during the break will be provided. These trainings are FREE, but registration is required.

You can register for one or both sessions (see below). Each registrant will need to register individually with his/her own email address.
8:30 am - 9:00 am Registration & breakfast buffet
9:00 am - 10:30 am Session 1 - ACTIVE SHOOTER PREPAREDNESS SEMINAR
- Common sense disaster response planning;
- Best practices to reduce casualties and increase chance of survival;
- Situational awareness;
- The 3 stages of disaster response; and
- What to do when the police arrive.
10:30 am - 11:00 am Break
11:00 am - 12:30 pm Session 2 - OPIOID OVERDOSE RESPONSE TRAINING
- What is an opioid;
- How to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose;
- How to administer intranasal NARCAN to reverse an opioid overdose; and
- Attendees will receive a voucher for two doses of NARCAN.
Seating is limited to a maximum of 60 adults per class; preregistration is required; walk-in registrations will not be accepted.
