What’s the purpose of the event?

 This year, Peak Academy is focused on celebrating innovation this year and this is our big bash to do just that! As Peak analysts, we have the privilege of getting to learn about all of the exciting innovations that are happening around the city, but we recognize that not everybody gets that same opportunity. This is your chance to be inspired by your colleagues and the amazing work that is going into making Denver the best city in the nation.

What’s the agenda?

 We’ll kick off the event with lunch and networking (lunch is on us!), then recognize Green Belt and Black Belt recipients that have earned their belts since January 2018. After that, in the main part of the event, we’ll recognize stand-out innovations in ten different categories in an Academy Awards-style event.

How formal is this event?

It’s not a formal event. We’re serious about having a good time, but less serious about a dress code. Essentially, you can wear whatever you would otherwise wear to work.

I was nominated for an award, does that mean I won? Should I attend?

Yes, please attend! This event is in a similar format to the Academy Awards. Meaning, all nominees for each category will be recognized as such, but the actual award winner will not be announced until the event. It’s a huge honor to make it to the nominations phase, and so we’d love for all of our nominees to be there, even if they aren’t the final winner.

Can I bring friends and family?

The event is designed for City and County of Denver Employees and outside employees that have attended Peak Academy trainings, so they will be our main audience. However, if it would be meaningful to you to have your support system present, please feel free to bring them. Just be sure everybody you’re brining is registered so we have an accurate head count.
