Webinar: The Nature Conservancy's Living Shoreline Grant Program Overview

This spring, the New Jersey Chapter of the Nature Conservancy is kicking off a program to assist communities in developing and implementing living shorelines in New Jersey, as a nature-based solution to coastal erosion, and other coastal hazards.

Living Shorelines are defined as shoreline stabilization techniques that incorporate native vegetation and natural materials to protect coastlines from coastal hazards, while also providing benefits to plants and wildlife.

TNC-NJ will be offering grants ranging from $5,000 up to $35,000 for design, permitting, and/or construction of living shorelines. We invite non-profit organizations, community associations, academic institutions, local governments, and consultants to submit applications for funding under this Living Shorelines program.

We’ll be soliciting proposals for funding starting March 5th and ending May 4th, 2018.

Please join us for an informational webinar on March 15th, 2018 that will provide more info on the program as well as, resources for communities interested in planning a project.
