Career Day 2019

The Cayuga Onondaga BOCES, Auburn Enlarged City School District, Cayuga County Chamber of Commerce, and Cayuga Economic Development Agency (CEDA) are teaming up to host a Career Day for high school juniors on March 21st from 10am - 2pm at Cayuga Community College. We are inviting employers from Cayuga County and within the Jordan-Elbridge and Skaneateles school districts to have a table at this event where you will have the opportunity to speak with approximately 300 students from the nine school districts in Cayuga County about your business and the types of careers you offer.

While we invite employers from many industries to have a table, this year’s event will also include breakout sessions that will help students learn more about careers in manufacturing, trades, agriculture, and education. We hope to highlight other industries at future events, as well.

Employers can participate by:

- having an exhibit table for students to visit (1-2 people, 10am-2pm)

- having an exhibit table for students to visit and presenting during manufacturing, skilled trades, education or agriculture breakout sessions  (1-2 people to table 10am-2pm; 1 additional person to present 10:30am-1pm)

Our goal is to expose students to local job and career opportunities that they may not be aware of or considering, as well as highlight some of the region's largest industries.

There is no cost to participate. Please click the link below to request an exhibit table and/or to speak with someone about details. We will contact you to discuss how your business would like to participate. Click on the button below to submit your request if you would like to be part of this exciting opportunity to engage with our community’s future workforce.
