2023 Douglas County Extension Master Gardener Garden Tour

Find inspiration at six varied and unique private gardens all around Lawrence. Gardens have been selected to inspire both novice and experienced gardeners. We recommend starting the tour at the Extension Demonstration Gardens on the Douglas County Fairgrounds. You are free to tour the remaining gardens in any order throughout the weekend.

Tour tickets: $15/person, online in advance at dgemgks.com or in person at the Fairgrounds on tour days. The tour is held rain or shine, there are no refunds. Proceeds from the tour support the Douglas County Extension Master Gardeners activities and public programs.

Redeem your receipt of ticket purchase for your wristband and map at our Master Gardener demonstration garden located at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper St. in Lawrence or at any of the gardens on the days of the tour. Signs will be posted along the routes to guide you to the gardens.

Some gardens will require moving over unpaved or uneven surfaces, please call the Extension office for more information if this is of concern. We ask that children be closely supervised, both for their protection and respect for our homeowners.

As an added bonus, there will be a Douglas County Extension Master Gardener native plant and garden art/craft sale on Saturday from 9:00 am - 2:30 pm (or until we sell out!) at the Douglas County fairground pavilion. There is no purchase necessary to visit the sales or any of the Douglas County Extension Master Gardener  five public demonstration gardens.
