Using Social Media for Reader's Advisory
Readers’ Services is a growing field and the developments in technology and social media have it growing at a rapid speed. Learn how to use various popular social media platforms to promote books and reading. Understand the importance of having a Library Social Media Policy in place. Be prepared to generate ideas for sharing books, reading programs, and social media promotions.
Presenter: Kaite Stover is the Director of Reader's Services at the Kansas City Public Library. She is a regular guest on KCUR's Book Doctors segment and moderator of The Kansas City Star’s FYI Book Club.

MALA Workshop Billing/Refund/Credit Policy:
We prefer all workshops to be prepaid or paid at the door. If you prefer to be billed, please add $5. Full refunds or credits are available for cancellations made a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the workshop date less a $5 administrative fee. You can transfer to another workshop a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the workshop date with no administrative fee. Cancellations made less than seven (7) days prior to the workshop date receive no refund or credit and you or your organization will be billed. No shows are billed to you or your organization.
