Mike McCarthy, Marathon Capital Advisors: 
Stage Your Business to Sell    

A Reading, PA, native, Mike grew up in a retail and wholesale dry goods business that operated in the same location for over 100 years.  The bulk of his Navy career involved procurement which kept him involved with a wide variety of industries manufacturing in aerospace, electronics and technology, transportation, as well as services in engineering, design and fleet support.

Mike returned to Reading, working and consulting on economic development matters as well as business and organizational improvement initiatives, a long-standing interest.  In early 2016, he joined Marathon Capital Advisors, an award-winning affiliate of VR M&A Advisors & Business Brokers, working with clients seeking to sell businesses, as well as with those seeking to buy, through the process to reach successful transactions. 

Mike is an involved member of his community.  He serves on the Board of the World Affairs Council of Greater Reading and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Pottstown.  Mike recently reached the 35-gallon donor mark with the Miller-Keystone Blood Center.  He and his wife Mary Anne, a practicing civil engineer, reside in the Oley Valley.
