"Breaking the Mental Health Pipeline to Prison"
We invite you to join us in this important conversation on Saturday, March
19th, to learn more about the role our state prison system plays in mental health
treatment across North Carolina, the cost on communities and impact on individuals and their family members. This is an opportunity for you to meet your legislators, local elected officials, professional treatment providers, representatives from the MCOs and other community members who share an interest in "Breaking the Mental Health Pipeline to Prison."
Registration and breakfast open at 8:00am. The program runs 8:30-11:30am. You will have an opportunity to share your thoughts and engage in problem-solving ideas with VIP table hosts during breakfast service, prior to hearing our distiguished speakers: Commissioner David Guice, NC Division of Adult Corrections and Juvenile Justice, Rep. Graig Meyer (D-Orange, Durham) and consumer Troy Manns. A panel of legislators and professionals will convene immediately following the speakers and offer opportunities for thought provoking questions and answers with attendees.
We offer a full buffet breakfast free of charge, however, to help organizers offset expenses, we suggest a $20 per person or more donation.
DEADLINE TO REGISTER is March 15th.
