Infant Massage Class for Parents of Very Young Infants & Preemies

Come learn how to massage your baby to strengthen your bond and improve his or her sleep and digestion. The class is open to all families in the community and is designed to meet the special needs of babies born prematurely or who are very young or who are medically fragile.  Research shows that preemies that are massaged daily gain weight faster, develop their motor skills more quickly, and sleep better.  Parents giving the massage learn to read their baby's nonverbal cues more easily and decrease both their cortisol (the stress hormone) levels and their baby's cortisol levels!

This infant massage class consists of four sessions as most babies do not tolerate a full body massage, at first, and need time to get used to it.  Each week you will learn how to massage a different part of your baby's body and then put it all together in the last session.  Our experienced instructors, Cindy Clark, MS, OTR/L, CIMI/L and Robin Hoffman, OTR/L, CIMI have been working with parents and babies for over 35 years and love sharing their knowledge of feeding and development as well as teaching massage.

The cost of the class is $85 per family and includes massage oil and an instruction  booklet. Please bring a towel or blanket for you baby to lay on and be prepared to feed your babyas they get very hungry after a massage.  Please join us!

Caring Connections Family Support Grant money may be available to cover the cost of class registration.  Please call our office directly at 303-433-0852 to find out if you are eligible.

No refunds will be given after Wednesday, November 21, 2018. If you still need to cancel after that time we can keep a credit on file to apply towards a future class
