Veteran Entrepreneurship Workshop
Inspiration, Funding, Business Plans, Counseling and Resources
For veterans who want to start a small business and for veterans who are solopreneurs or micro-preneurs and want to grow. Be inspired by entrepreneurs who have used their military discipline to thrive and grow in small business. Come learn about how the Small Business Administration, lenders, SCORE, HCC and Women Veterans Business Center can help you refine and acheive your small business goals!
Opening Remarks 9:00am-9:05am
Dr. Zachary Hodges, Acting Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, has served 20 years as president for the college's Northwest region. Dr. Hodges has been a champion of entrepreneurship at HCC and he was named 2013 Entrepreneurial President of the Year by the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE). He continues to be actively involved in entrepreneurial outreach and activities.
Veteran Entrepreneur Round Tables 9:05am-10:30am
Meet Veteran Entrepreneurs - Each will share their stories briefly and tell how their entrepreneurial and military backgrounds have created success and allowed them to help others. Next, progressive round tables will allow you to share a table with each entrepreneur, meet them, ask questions and hear others' questions and answers. Be inspired and connect with those who have gone before you and those who are gearing up to pursue their entrepreneuial dreams! Veteran Entrepreneur Line-Up:
