Both sessions are based on what Jung established as the Type Problem.

The morning is an overview of the theoretical underpinnings -- what is complementarity? Its challenge? Differentiation? etc. It presents a model of the process of differentiation of the functions, specialization, saturation and compensation. How the conscious and the unconscious work together towards individuation and the role that the transcendent function plays.

The optional afternoon is all about practice: how we ourselves can promote individuation in ourselves and others through stories that help us recognize our own projectsion, reel them in, and better see the other person for who they are instead of screens for our own unconscious.

Participants will walk away with:

  • a greater understanding of the type problem, the nature of duality (or opposites) and how it impacts our relationships
  • a model that identifies the different steps of individuation including that of differentiation, specialization, the tension of opposites and transcendence
  • an appreciation of the challenges we face because of the nature of duality
  • tools and skills to meet these challenges

Those who use type professionally will also benefit by:

  • Coaching tips and tools to untangle tangled relationships
  • A model that illustrates the dance of opposites, and the different stages of development to pay attention to

These presentations are designed for those with an Intermediate or Advanced level of Type knowledge.
