Holocaust Survivor Discussion
Join us in our BCC sanctuary for a powerful discussion with Leon, an amazing 91 year old Holocaust Survivor. Rabbi Dan will be leading this fascinating dialogue with Leon who will attend over Zoom. We will be able to hear and see him together on our large projection screen, and there will be an opportunity for Q&A.
Leon was born in Czernowitz, Romania in 1931 and was 10 years old when the Nazis invaded in 1941. He has been a member of the JFCS Holocaust Center's William J. Lowenberg Speakers Bureau since 2010 and has shared his testimony virtually with over 6,000 individuals since the shift to online programming in March 2020.
In addition to our 5th-7th graders, we encourage all Beit Midrash parents and all congregation members to attend. If you cannot attend in person, there will be a Zoom option. The Zoom link will be sent to registrants on Fri., May 13.
Please note that this event is not recommended for children under the age of 10.
We are proud to present this important program in conjunction with the Jewish Family and Children's Services Holocaust Center. Holocaust Remembrance Day commemorates the approximately six million Jewish people who perished in the Holocaust.
