Waitlist: Indigenous and Latinx Delaware: Community Fellowship and Historical Inquiry 

Attention K-12 Teachers!

 The Delaware Council for History Education announces a new professional learning opportunity that will allow K-12 teachers to explore the history and culture of different Delaware communities. Join us for six full-day professional learning workshops: Workshops will include:

• Presentations by historians, education specialists, and community members
• Sessions to address the Delaware Content Standards using culturally relevant resources and projects from the Library of Congress and local sources
• Participating teachers will receive $1000 stipends

Event Dates: 

• December 11th: Community Gathering at the Nanticoke Indian Museum
• Jan 29: Content overview and creating the pedagogical framework 
• Feb 26: Pre-Columbian Delaware 
• March 26: Pre-Columbian North America
• April 30: Pre-Columbian Meso- America
• May 14: Pre-Columbian Caribbean
• June 18th: Showcase
