Leadership Excellence Challenge — Fall 2022 Special Workshop Series

facilitated by Tammy Krings and the Conversations That Matter team

As leaders, we are faced with an ever-growing list of challenges: staffing, retention, hybrid workplaces, responding to social issues, creating inclusion and belonging, and promoting resilience and mental well-being are just a few of the challenges leaders are encountering today.  In addition to these important challenges, as leaders, we are also trying to increase our own effectiveness and strengthen our own resilience. How do we tackle this new and adapting landscape while also improving our own abilities? And how do we have the time and space to think about ways to overcome these challenges while still being effective in managing our teams day-to-day?We are all faced with continuing challenges.  But as leaders and professionals, we are still expected to produce.  And despite all the factors that we cannot control, we can choose to lead with grit, purpose and passion — traits that can be learned with tools that can be practiced and mastered.

The Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence–- in partnership with the Performance Excellence Network – is pleased to announce a special workshop series the fall of 2022: Leadership Excellence Challenge.  The series consists of a (free) 90-minute online kickoff September 13 (11:30-1:00 CT), followed by three half-day workshops on September 29, November 3, and November 30 — all 8:30-12:00 CT and all in person in the Twin Cities (location TBD). The program also includes a capstone project, helping participants apply tools and proven leadership techniques to address a real leadership challenge they’re facing.  The series will be facilitated by Tammy Krings and The Conversations That Matter team, whose mission is to foster powerful leaders and teams through authentic connection, problem solving, and communication.

The Leadership Excellence Challenge workshop series provides a space for leaders at all levels to address a challenge and to learn new leadership tools with a cohort of fellow leaders with varying experiences from different industries and different focus areas. During the workshops, leaders bring their own leadership challenges from their organization and the workshops will help facilitate discovery and community — sharing out and generating ideas and insights from each leader, breaking down barriers and obstacles to take action on challenges while learning how to communicate with clarity across the organization. You will leave with tangible next steps and tools to apply immediately within your organization and become a more effective leader.

Content and tools will center on proven leadership tools, including best practices from the Baldrige Framework.
