Leading in the New Work Environment

Thursday, June 14, 2022 at 8:00 AM

The last 2.5 years have inspired — or at least required — pretty significant changes to how and where work gets done: organizations have had to consider hybrid and adapted work environments, changes to leadership approaches, new ways to communicate with their teams, and certainly new or different methods for recruiting and staffing.  It may still be too early to declare any validated “best practices,” but there are certainly emerging solid practices to managing and engaging the workforce.

Wisconsin Center for Performance Excellence— in partnership with the Performance Excellence Network — is pleased to host a hybrid discussion Thursday, July 14: “Leading in the New Work Environment.”  The discussion will be hosted at the Shoreview Community Center and streamed throughout the region.

This discussion will feature a panel that features perspectives from several sectors/industries — business, healthcare, local government:

  • Carlee Diggins, Deloitte, and chair, Minnesota OD Network
  • Jenna Kellerman, Director of Workplace Strategy & Development, LeadingAge
  • Scott Martens, Professional Director & Adjunct Faculty, Carlson School, U of M
  • Julie Ring, Executive Director, Association of Minnesota Counties

The panel will focus on topics such as, changes and emerging best practices in:

  • Leadership systems, including communication and maintaining accountability
  • Work environment, including managing hybrid and remote teams
  • Recruiting, hiring, staffing
  • Maintaining workforce culture, engagement, and resilience
This session is Thursday, July 14 from 8:00-9:00 CT (optional networking and mingling 7:45-8:00, both online and in the room).  In person location: Shoreview Community Center, 4580 Victoria St N, Shoreview MN 55126.  Online link provided at registration.  Free for PEN/WCPE members; $20 for non-members (both online or in person).

Can't make it live but interested in the content? Register anyway: all registered attendees get a link to the recording after the session!
