Caregiver Support Initiative Reconvening

Join us for a reconvening of the Caregiver Support Initiative to evaluate our progress and identify next steps.

 In 2016, the Community Foundation convened our community to find out the top needs facing unpaid family caregivers to seniors. Caregivers shared their biggest challenge was finding resources and quality information. As a result, the Community Foundation created WashoeCaregivers.org, an online database of caregiver resources, and the Washoe Caregivers Guidebook, an instructional manual on how to be a caregiver.

Community involvement is central to our work. We want to hear from you again. Help us review Washoe Caregivers and determine what needs to be done next to help caregivers in our community.
