Wild Mushroom Foraging Basics Class

Note: To protect our guests, volunteers, and staff, the Arboretum’s Jewett Interpretive Center is cleaned and sanitized daily as part of our normal business operations. In light of COVID-19, we’re increasing the frequency and extent of daily cleanings throughout the building, and have placed several hand sanitizer stations at various locations throughout the building for public use. We take the health of our visitors very seriously and want to ensure that everyone can be at ease at any of our classes.

Here's your chance to learn about mushroom foraging gear, tips and cautions for foraging in local areas, a few common edible spring mushrooms, and prepping wild mushrooms in the kitchen. You will also receive information about the Yakima Valley Mushroom Society.
