Start your day at the Arboretum's Jewett Center enjoying a morning cup of coffee before boarding the motorcoach and heading to Seattle at 7AM. There will be an optional pickup for folks living in Ellensburg at the Flying J Truck Stop. Expect to arrive back in Yakima between 8PM and 8:30PM. The Northwest Flower and Garden Festival features the region’s top garden designers and landscape firms creating dynamic and innovative display gardens with thousands of blooming flowers and exotic plants giving showgoers a real treat.
Complementing the eye-popping display gardens, is the “Small Space Showcase” presenting innovative, idea-generating small space and container gardens for those seeking inspiration for gardens on their deck, patio and terrace. The artistry of the area’s top floral designers are spotlighted in the “Floral Competition,” with lavish displays of artfully arranged blooms.
The Northwest Flower & Garden Festival is the largest event of its kind west of the Mississippi--and the second largest garden show in the United States, and it is only 2.5 hours from Yakima. Plus, as an added benefit, a number of Yakima Area Arboretum staff members, and/or knowledgeable Master Gardeners, will be on board the coach to answer your gardening questions.
