The Witches Ball 2018:

Bizarre Bazaar Application Form

APPLICATION DEADLINE is August 15, 2018. 
Date of the event is Saturday, October 6, 2018 Rain or Shine from 3pm to 8pm.   This year, due to circumstances beyond our control, the event has been split into two events, the family-friendly Pumpkin Ball running from 3pm to 6pm and the Witches Ball, for attendees aged 21 and over, running from 7pm to Midnight (doors open at 6pm).  The two events overlap so that attendees from both events will be able to visit the Bizarre Bazaar.   

Fees: $5. application fee.  $150 for a 10’x10’ space due upon notification of acceptance. 

The Township of Mt. Holly requires each vendor to obtain a $50 individual one-day Vendor Permit.  Your booth fee includes the permit fee!  We will apply for the permit on your behalf once you have been approved to vend.  Because of this permit requirement, the application deadline will not be extended.

All applicants will be screened by the Witches Ball Vendor Committee for participation. We will be looking at your merchandise on your website, facebook page or etsy shop. Primary factors considered for acceptance are variety and appeal of product, previous years’ participation, and timeliness of application submission.   We do not accept merchandise resellers such as Avon, Gutter Helmets, Nutri-System etc.  By order of the Mount Holly Police Department the selling of knives or any other weapon is prohibited.  The screening process, best interest of the Witches Ball and date of application will be determinants of booth location.

This application does NOT guarantee a space.  All applicants will receive a notice of either acceptance or rejection by August 31, 2017.  Booth fee of $150 is due upon acceptance.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:

The Witches Ball in Mount Holly is 17 years old this year.  It has grown and transformed over the years from a tiny local event in Mill Race Village featuring ballroom dancing witches to a celebration that draws people from all over the tri-state area and beyond to enjoy music, food, performances, art, unique shopping and outrageous costumes.  

 With growth, come growth pains.  Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to make some radical, but hopefully positive, changes to better serve our audience.  It will all still be free and open to the public, but the format has changed.

 3pm-6pm The Pumpkin Ball– family-friendly event, with activities for kids and their parents, costume contest and more.

 3pm-8pm The Bizarre Bazaar– vendors of the exotic and unusual. 

 7pm-Midnight (doors open at 6) – The Witches Ball  - Adults only, 21 and over, gated event with all of what you have come to expect from The Witches Ball; music, performances, costume contest, Beer Garden, Voodoo Bar and more.
