William E. “Bill” Shack attributes much of his success to lessons he learned at Clark Atlanta University, the largest of the nation’s 38- member United Negro College Fund institutions. Students enrolled there today enjoy the benefits of a private, research-intensive education in the heart of one of the world’s great international cities. However, the current economic climate makes completing a college degree all the more difficult.
