Thank you for your interest in the Downtown Monroe Association's first ever, Marry Me in Monroe event, taking place Saturday, May 5th, 2018.

The City, Chamber and local businesses are all very excited to participate in this event.  We will be relying on entrance fees (both venue, businesses and vendors) as well as sponsorships.  The event is intended to be inclusive of many types of businesses, so not JUST direct-wedding-related, but also health, fitness, finance, lodging, activities, shops hosting craft-nights & more. 

The event will be a self-guided day of touring various wedding venues, businesses and local parks (set up as vignettes to showcase wedding opportunities).  Ticketed guests will be provided a map of locations and encouraged to take their time and enjoy all that Monroe has to offer for weddings, planning and even "dates" for couples to enjoy as they plan their special day.  Guest ticket pricing will be $15 for those registered by April 5^th, and then $20 after that date.

We'd like to fill various venues and businesses with wedding professionals to help encourage the multitude of services in and around the community.  Perhaps a more off-beat vendor could pair up with the Tattoo shop and help them to get a bit creative in their set up.  Maybe a Photographer is at our check-in location, or a park along with a rental company, to show how amazing (and budget conscious) having a few props and photos done at our local green spaces can be.  DJ's could be at the gym powering up a Bride Fit type of podcast to connect fitness to wedding day desires to look and feel good.  Of course there will be more traditional opportunities to partner with venues too.  If you have some favorite vendors to work with, please send their information our way!
