The Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies and the Aboriginal Student Centre of the University of Regina are pleased to invite Aboriginal students from grades 7-12 to the fifth annual Sports for Life event to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Centre for Kinesiology and Sport at the University of Regina.


Students will participate in a number of physical activity sessions lead by U of R athletes and students including, ball hockey, basketball, ultimate frisbee, wrestling, soccer and swimming to name a few. Tours of campus will also be available.

This event is free and participants will be provided with breakfast, lunch and a t-shirt provided with the generous support of the Aboriginal Student Centre and the Faculty of Kinesiology and Health Studies.

Tentative Schedule

8:30-9:00           registration and warm up
9:00-9:50           large group activity and welcome
10:00-10:50      breakout session 1
11:00-11:50       breakout session 2
12:00-12:30       lunch
12:40-1:30         breakout session 3
1:40-2:30           breakout session 4
2:30-3:00           closing remarks

Participants are asked to bring sport clothes (track suits & shorts), shoes and bathing suits (if they are swimming) along with a signed Guardian Permission Form.
