Labyrinth building & walking

Jenn Nino of Jenza's Gardens is coming to Listening Tree to share her love and knowledge of the ancient walking meditation tool, the labyrinth. She'll tell and show, and we'll get an opportunity to construct and walk a temporary labyrinth.

We will start our day with Jenn discussing the history, uses, and construction of the labyrinth. The morning session, from 10-12pm, will be a seated talk--bring a notebook. Then we will break for a light farm-to-table lunch. Then the afternoon session from 1-3 will be hands on, in the field. There Jenza will show us how to construct a Labyrinth using simple, natural materials, such as sand, sticks, and rocks.

Once the labyrinth is complete, we will end the day with a guided meditation through its seven sacred circuits!

Either session (morning or afternoon) can be taken separately.

Cost: $40 for both sessions. $25 for morning or afternoon session alone. $10 additional for lunch (pay at the event), or feel free to brown bag it.

4 pm Potluck and tour of Listening Tree Cooperative free.

Accessibility: Site is outdoors on uneven ground, 50 feet from disabled persons' parking on gravel drive. House is accessible by ramp, with one indoor step to small bathroom. Call ahead regarding any needs. We are happy to accommodate if we can. For example, a seeing person once guided a visually impaired man through a labyrinth with a simple hand on the shoulder.
