Technical Assistance Provider Information and Application Center

Technical assistance and consultation is being made available to service providers funded by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) to assist providers in adopting and adapting PBS to their particular agency. This technical assistance and consultation is being coordinated by the UMass Donahue Institute.

The first step in this process is to review the guide which offers important information for your organization as you prepare and work to implement Positive Behavior Supports.  This guide can be found here:  http://ddslearning.com/dds-pbs-initiative/. Click on the second link listed - "Guidelines for Required Elements" and the "FAQs". Creating a "PBS Leadership Team" and completing  a "Readiness Assessment" are critical steps in this process.  DDS recommends that providers familiarize themselves with all of the materials on the ddslearning site; the most up to date information about the creation of the Leadership Team and the Implementation requirements can be found in the Guidelines for Required Elements and FAQs.
