Connect your mind, body and creative soul by unwinding your mind using yoga, meditation and art making. Yoga, Meditation and a Creative Practice have long been recognized as highly effective healing therapies. Yoga instructor, Jayme Bushmaier-Davis and abstract artist and teacher, Michelle Stroescu will take you on an inspired adventure toward a deeper sense of self and help you unleash your creative potential. No yoga or art experience necessary! Truly, we are all artists as we are living works of art already!
The first playshop presented in the series is Visual Art Journaling ~ A daily check in with yourself calms the mind, sparks creativity and sets the tone of your day. You will be inspired to start such a daily habit by creating your very own visual art journal filled with all things that make up your unique life!
We will begin by plugging in through simple yoga poses followed by a guided meditation led by Jayme. Michelle will share examples of visual journaling and offer the meaning of colors. (Learn your personality color!) Mixed media techniques and examples used in visual journaling will be demonstrated as well as inspirational prompts, guidance and assists. Don’t let a blank page scare you! All supplies will be provided!
What to bring:
Your fearless self, yoga mat, water, favorite picture(s) of yourself over the years (preferably a black and white xerox copy), and any hodgepodge scraps of memorabilia you love. i.e. photos, inspiring quotes, song lyrics, stamps, old letters, buttons, etc. You are encouraged to bring anything you want for collage and or mark making.
