FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

What time does camp begin and end?
Drop-off starts at 9 AM and pick-up is no later than 4 PM unless you have registered and paid for extended hours. Classes begin at 10 AM and end at 3 PM with an hour of fun time before and after classes.

What are the options for early and late childcare?
Both early and later childcare hours are an option for an additional fee. Early drop-off begins each morning at 8 AM and late childcare begins at 4 PM and ends promptly at 5 PM each day. Early and late childcare can be added to a child’s registration at the initial time of registration. Fees are $25 per week, per child, per each care.

Is there a discount for siblings attending camp together?
Yes. The discount is $15 off per sibling.

Can my child make a buddy request?
No. Camp is based on the camper’s age group.  If they are in the same age grouping, they will most likely be in the same classes.

Does my child have to attend both weeks of camp to participate?
No. Children are welcome to attend one week or both weeks. Many children love our camp so much, they want to attend both weeks.

Do I need to pack a lunch for my child?
No. We provide lunch and two snacks every day and it is included in the cost of camp. A menu will be emailed to you a week before your child's camp date. If your child has special food needs, please pack a lunch and snacks for them. If you do chose to pack a lunch for your child, please pack it in an insulated bag with their first and last name written on the bag. We hold to a strict no-nut policy and do not serve nut products. If you pack a lunch or snack for your child, please do not send your child with any nut products out of courtesy to other children that may be allergic to nut products.

What do I do if my child has special needs?
Although The Warehouse Camp desires to accommodate all children, we are not able to accommodate children with special needs who are unable to function within our camp structure. Please contact Cindy LeFevre with any questions at Cindy@thewh.org.

How much time will my child be spending outside/inside at camp?
Children will spend approximately 2 hours a day outside during sporting activities, but it will not be consecutive. Many of the outside activities will be conducted in the shade or under an outdoor tent. There are also several breaks throughout the day that will allow campers to come inside and get water and snacks. The Camp Staff and Counselors monitor the heat index, smog levels, etc. each day and make a determination if changes need to be made. If needed, campers are moved inside into the auditorium.

What should my child bring to camp?
Each child should bring a re-fillable water bottle with their first and last name written on it. They are also welcome to bring a backpack with any necessary belongings, but please make sure their first and last name are clearly written on it. We request that all water bottles and backpacks be taken home at the end of each day and brought back with your child every morning.

What should my child wear to camp?
Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes (or other closed toed shoes) and not flip flops or sandals since they will be participating in sporting activities.  Please apply sunscreen to your child before drop-off.

What is your policy on behavior problems?
Bullying, physical or verbal abuse, or any other behavior that detracts from the Christian and wholesome environment that The Warehouse Camp wishes to provide, will not be tolerated. Poor behavior on the part of the camper could lead to his or her dismissal from camp.

Is there a nurse on site?
We do not have a nurse on site. We have a person in charge of first aid who takes care of any minor cuts, scrapes, accidents or illnesses. We notify parents promptly if a child becomes ill or is hurt during camp. If a child becomes ill during camp, we require them to be picked up ASAP upon notification. A signed medical release form is required upon registration to ensure proper contact information is secured and to authorize medical care in case of emergency. Please keep children at home if they are sick, vomiting or running a fever on any camp days.

What is the process for drop-off and pick-up?
There will be a registration desk in the coffee shop area of our facility where you will sign your child in and out every day.  When you come to pick up your child, the person at the registration desk will send a camp worker to get the child from the class they are in at the time you pick them up. Only authorized people noted on your registration form will be allowed to pick up your child(ren).

Can I pick my child up early ?
Yes. You are welcome to check your child out early. Please make sure you follow the same procedure for picking them up at the end of the day and sign them out so we know all children are accounted for.

Cancellation Policy...
We can accept cancellations in writing via emailing Cindy@theWH.org, up to 30 days before the camp date, and there is a $25 charge. We would refund the amount paid minus the $25 cancellation fee through Paypal.
