The Fox River Valley Branch and the Wisconsin Section invite you to attend the 2021 ASCE Wisconsin Section Spring Technical Conference on Friday, March 5, 2021. This day-long conference will be presented virtually.

The Spring Technical Conference Planning Committee is pleased to introduce Jason Mengel, the Director of the 2021 Ryder Cup. He will be delivering the morning's Keynote Presentation that will provide a behind the scenes preview of the planning, preparations, and an intimate look at what can be expected when one of the world's preeminent international sporting events comes to Wisconsin this September.
The Ryder Cup visits the scenic shores of Lake Michigan at Whistling Straits September 21-26, 2021, for the 43rd installation of one of the most significant events in the world of sport. Learn more about the collaborative efforts that have been underway for years to capitalize on this unique opportunity for the state, while ensuring a safe, secure and enjoyable week for the contestants, the guests in attendance, and a worldwide television audience in the millions.
For the afternoon’s Keynote Presentation, the Spring Technical Conference Planning Committee is honored to welcome back Wisconsin Department of Transportation Secretary - Designee Craig Thompson. His presentation will review the progress made on transportation initiatives in the past year, including the impact of the state budget and projects that have been either enumerated or resumed. Secretary designee Thompson will outline Wisconsin’s current transportation challenges and will discuss WisDOT’s priorities moving forward.
ASCE Past-President K.N. Gunalan “Guna,” Ph.D., P.E., D.GE, F.ASCE will present an Ethics presentation.

Breakout session options will offer a range of discipline options, including Environmental & Water Resources, Construction, Structures, Transportation, Geotechnical, and Leadership & Management.
Up to six PDH's will be available from this program.
