Join us for a fun learning experience.
We will start the afternoon off with the reading of Call the Horse Lucky by Juanita Havill, a story of a horse who is rescued because of a young girl's kindness. We will wrap up the afternoon by decorating horse shoes to hang at the barns at Pets Alive.
All age groups are welcome, as one is never too young or too old to show compassion and respect to animals and people.
There is no charge for attending but attendees are encouraged to bring an item for our horses at Pets Alive such as apples or carrots.
We do ask that you register so we know how many will be attending.
The goal of the Pets Alive Kids Team Humane Education program is to encourage an understanding of the need for compassion, empathy and respect for animals, as well as for people and the environment, recognizing the interconnectedness of all living beings/things.
We will be utilizing various education methods including story reading, critical thinking and crafts, all of which will help our Pets Alive Kids Team learn to make responsible decisions and inspire them to make the world a better place.
