The Conceptual Building Blocks is a series of three modules designed to build a teacher’s capacity to work with students in various settings. The approach is rooted in a conceptual understanding of key concepts in middle school mathematics. The objectives are:
Each of the three modules (Proportional Reasoning, Algebraic Thinking, & Geometry) is two days in length. Attendance at all three modules is required.
Participants who sign up for the training are signing up for all six (6) days.
In addition to the six days of training, there will be one follow up visit to each classroom by the trainer. This visit will allow participants to dialogue, in the context of a coaching session, about the particular issues they face in their instruction.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.
Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.
CKEC accepts purchase orders, checks, or money orders for payment. CKEC, for auditing purposes, can not accept cash.
Attendance Policy: If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.
Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
