Target Audience: Any school staff working with Middle and High School students on Alternate K-PREP

Description:

This session will empower you to create engaging activities that focus on creating a print rich environment for students with moderate to severe disabilities using the secondary book,  The Book Thief.   Participants will develop activities to support collaboration between teachers, SLP, OT, PT, TVI, and/or Teachers of D/HH. The activities will be appropriate for all students regardless of the disability or communication level. Many of the activities will focus on the Alternate K-PREP standards.  Participants should bring a container or back pack to store the products created in the training.  PLEASE READ THE BOOK PRIOR TO THE SESSION

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
