11-6-18, 11-27-18 and 12-11-18 New Special Education Teacher IEP Workshop-3 days- No Fee for Member Districts, $100 Fee for Non Member Districts

November 6th, November 27th and December 11th

Speaker: Marti Ginter, Sally Miracle, and Cari Sherrets 

Description: 

This three-day workshop will provide IEP training to newly hired special education staff/speech language therapists. 

The content for day one will be: Data required to write the IEP, Present Level Statements, Annual Measureable Goals and embedding Post-Secondary Transition into the Present Level/Goals

Day two’s content will be: Program Modification, SDI/SAS, Related Services, Post-Secondary Transition Service, and determining LRE.

Day three’s content will be: Understand the necessity of progress monitoring, determine effectiveness of instruction/intervention and how to modify in response to data, guidance and tools for collecting meaningful data

 

Participants are encouraged to bring an IEP with progress monitoring data from a student on their current caseload

GUESTS/UNREGISTERED POLICY

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
