Description: This session will review characteristics of students living in poverty, implications for our classrooms, and learner difficulties including social and academic barriers. Participants will explore case studies and leave with research-based strategies that can be easily implemented to support students with resources, learning behaviors, and social competency to improve student achievement.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.
Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session.
Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.
Attendance Policy:
If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.
