Would you like your child to learn different languages and travel around the world - but in a fun, delicious way right here in Brooklyn? Then go on culinary adventures with us!
Ages 3-14

Our 2019 adventures start Thursday, April 11 with Cooking in Spanish, and, maybe French!

What will we do?
For Thursday, April 11, we'll make arepas and other Latin delights and learn about Venezuela! Plus we'll learn some Spanish - no previous knowledge necessary!
Tastes of Brooklyn classes give everyone a chance to cook different dishes from Latino cultures like guacamole, salsas, quesadillas, and more - all with fresh ingredients, all speaking only in Spanish. For French, we'll do the same, but with French cuisine!
This is fun, delicious Spanish immersion. Ingredients/recipes are in Spanish and children can go home with leftovers.
We're getting ready for our Tastes of Brooklyn food and drink festivals - starting on April 13 with Tastes of Gowanus! See the online map here of all the participating food establishments
The Carroll Gardens Cobble Hill Crawl is May 4, right before Cinco de Mayo.

Around the World pop-ups or Tours!
White Maize is hosting one of our one-off cooking or tours to local eateries in Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill and vicinity. You can check off on the form if you want to do this. These are one-time fun activities where children learn foreign language and culture through food - right here in the neighborhood.
COOKING: We will either cook in the local eatery, or we can take a TOUR and visit bakeries and other food places so all can learn about the delicious history of the neighborhood.

Interested in other languages? We plan to offer a French-language cooking class and pop-ups in our international eateries
We also want to offer for the under 8 crowd.
Interested in pop-ups or tours? Just register and tell us so we let you know.
Minimum attendance must be 6 for all activities.
