TEXTILE TOURS HATS AND HEADWEAR
The Center for Sacramento History unveils its first ever Textile Tours program featuring the Center's extensive collection of historic hats and headwear. Behind-the-scenes tours offer a rare opporunity to view examples of hats and headwear fashions from the 1860s to the 1970s. Learn what silk top hats, beaded bonnets, military helmets, and feathered headwear say about style and culture in Sacramento. Tickets are $15.00 per person and are in limited supply.

SPECIAL PRESENTATION BY DR. SUSAN KAISER
On Sunday, April 21 at 3:00 p.m. Dr. Susan Kaiser, Professor of Women and Gender Studies at U.C. Davis, a recognized authority on culture, fashion, and textiles will give a multi-media presentation, "Fashinoning Time and Place." Dr. Kaiser will also be on hand to sign copies of her new book, Fashion and Cultural Studies. Attendees will then proceed to the vault for the Textile Tour. Tickets for this closing event and tour are $25.00 and are limited to the first 50 registrants.
