Devoted to the Union: Sacramento and the Civil War

150 years after the Civil War, the Center for Sacramento History examines how Sacramentans reacted and responded to the conflict. Historian Glenna Matthews will deliver a lecture entitled, “The Civil War at 150:  Remembering the Sacramento and California Stories,” and will sign copies of her book, The Golden State in the Civil War. Elk Grove teacher Karen Richey will discuss her award-winning Civil War curriculum, and a new photographic exhibition will be unveiled.  Please join us!
