Join Western Lands and Communities, a joint venture of the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy and Sonoran Institute, for a two-day workshop on scenario planning. We will apply the collective knowledge and expertise of our three presenters, Stephen Aldrich, Ralph Marra, and Eric Roberts to a real world planning activity utilizing scenarios.
The $50 registration fee includes AICP credits. Advance registration required by September 25, 2013. To register, click "Register Now" below. Travel, hotel, and meals outside the workshop are the responsibility of the participant.
Arrivals/Departures: Please arrange flight times as best you can to make the most of the the entire workshop.
Hotel Accommodations: A hotel block has been reserved at the Clarendon Hotel with rooms at $129+tax/night, which includes a number of amenities including wifi, parking, bottled water, minibar food items and soft drinks. For an even more budget friendly option Extended Stay America has rooms available for ~$150 total for both nights. Both hotels encourage you to make reservations as soon as possible.
Ground Transportation to/from Airport: Public transit - Take the new PHX Sky Train (only available from Terminal 4) or the FREE PHX Airport Shuttle to or from the 44th Street & Washington METRO light rail stop. The airport shuttle is the silver and black bus with the electronic display that reads: METRO light rail & Airport Terminals. Then take the Metro light rail westbound to the Washington and Central Ave station. It is 10 blocks east of the workshop venue. Meals: Continental breakfast and lunch, as well as snacks/beverages will be provided in our meeting space on both days. A no host group dinner will be arranged on October 1 to keep scenario planning discussion moving forward. This is an optional activity.
