Fight for Freedom: Do What You Love to Fight What You Hate

According to the International Labor Organization (ILO), there are currently 4.5 million sex slaves around the world. According to the Polaris Project, Florida ranked 3rd in the country in 2016 with 1,900 reported cases. Human trafficking, including sex trafficking and forced labor, is one of the fastest growing industries. This has to stop. This is the goal of the "Fight for Freedom" Dinner. This event focuses on sex slavery but will bring awareness to human trafficking as a whole.

"Fight for Freedom" is a free event but there will be opportunities to get involved financially if you feel led to do so. There will be a silent auction of art made by
members of a community who want to "Do what they love to fight what they hate". You will be able to purchase this art, or create an art piece to be purchased, and all of the proceeds will go to organizations that are fighting trafficking both in Florida and around the world. Dinner will be a potluck where you can share your signature dish. There will be information about everything that sex trafficking is affiliated with and you will hear from 4 organizations on what they are doing to end sex trafficking both here and abroad. Children are invited to attend at your discretion, as there will be some mature content discussed at this event. No child care will be provided.
