The State of IoT Security:

The next Central Virginia ISSA event is at Mekong Tuesday, November 12th, 2019.  Beverages will be served beginning 5:45 PM and the presentation will start at 6 PM.

At the meeting, you will have access to tasty craft beers, wine, delectable  appetizers, and most importantly a hardy discussion on current Information Security issues and challenges lead by knowledgeable practitioners.

Armis, based in Palo Alto, California, is the first agentless, enterprise-class security platform to address the new threat landscape of unmanaged and IoT devices. Armis discovers devices on and off the network, continuously analyzes endpoint behavior to identify risks and attacks, and protects critical information and systems by identifying suspicious or malicious devices and quarantining them. Kean Hankins will share information on the state of IoT security, stories of what he has seen in Proofs of Concept as well as Use Cases. We are looking forward to an interactive fun evening sharing stories and discussing challenges.

Kean has twenty years of experience selling SaaS and Enterprise software and technology into companies all over the US. He has held positions in Finance, Sales Engineering, Sales and Sales Management. His first experience in security was in the late 1990s sharing web hacking techniques to companies with websites.

Kean and company will be giving away Apple AirPods, so bring your business cards!

There is no fee to attend this event as Armis has generously sponsored this month's meeting.

So register now, enjoy a great night with CPE credit generating discussion, good beer, and a chance to network with Information Security peers.
