2016 Zombie Survival Camp - Oct 22

Zombie Carnage

Okay, so the Zombie Apocalypse didn't happen last year as we all expected. But that doesn't mean you should let your guard down.

Sooner or later it's gonna happen and when it does, you'll need to bring your A-game.

That's why we're sponsoring another Zombie Suvival Camp to give you a chance to practice your zombie hunting skills and stay frosty.

The Zombie Survival Camp is a frightening but friendly competition with 5 stages: 3 handgun, 1 shotgun, and 1 rifle. If you don't have a shotgun or rifle, you can still come and watch your friends neutralize the walking dead ... or get eaten ... whatever the case may be.

During the handgun portion, you will engage numerous walkers, crawlers, and biters in realistic end-of-the-world scenarios. That means center mass may not be good enough. You might need to score a precise headshot to survive an attack or save a loved one from a nasty fate. Threats can range from 0 to 80 feet.

Handgun Gear:
  • Reliable handgun with 3 magazines or speedloaders
  • Strong side hip holster and magazine carriers
  • 100-200 rounds of ammo

Don't leave home without your shotgun, becuase you'll need it to navigate a field of ravenous brain-eaters. If you don't have one, that's no skin off our nose. But it could be skin off yours ... and your face, and arms, and pretty much everything else when you become the meal du jour for the undead hoard. Shotgun threats can range from 0 feet to 70 yards.

Shotgun Gear:

  • Any reliable pump / auto shotgun holding as many rounds as possible
  • 12 or 20 gauge with any sights you like
  • 30-35 rounds of buckshot (if you want to shoot slugs, that's okay too)

You can bet that when the world ends, you'll eventually get stuck on watch as your fellow survivors vainly forage for food at the local Kroger. The key is to take out those decaying buggers while they're at a distance, so you're gonna need a long gun. And nothing brings the red mist like a trusty carbine. Again, if you don't have one, that's okay with us. But you and your buddies could be in for a bad day. Rifle threats can range from 0 feet to 300 yards. Zero in before you arrive!

Rifle Gear:

  • Any rifle / carbine in  5.56×45, 5.45×39, 5.7×28, 7.62×39, or .30 carbine with any sights you like
  • 3 magazines and a way to carry them
  • 100 rounds of ammo

Other Gear:

  • Eye and ear protection
  • Weather appropriate clothing (wearing your favorite zombie hunting costume may win you a door prize)
  • Lunch and hydration
  • Portable chair

YOUR SHOOTING WILL BE SCORED!  Awards will be given in the following categories:

  • Alpha Zombie Hunter
  • Top Zombie Eradication Team
  • Clown of the Dead

COST: $85 per person.

A portion of your entry fee benefits Buckeye Firearms Association.
