2021 Summer Camp - Arcade Creations for Grades 9-12 (7109)

An afternoon at the Arcade is magical.  These high tech machines transport you to magical places and help you accomplish monumental feats.  In reality, they are computers engineered and programmed to interact with users. Learn engineering and computer science using circuitry, 3D printers, laser cutters and more as you engineer a small system that plays a video game you wrote to take home at the end of the camp.

Daily Schedue

The camp dates are June 28 - July 22 and will begin at 1:00PM daily in the FabLab in the CTEC at the San Joaquin County Office of Education.  Students will be provided an electronic device to use during the camp.  Camp is over each day at 4:00PM.

What to Bring

Students should just bring themselves, but be prepared to have a sweater in case the air conditioning makes them a little chilly.

Behavior Issues

This is an enrichment activity and any behavior issues will result in immediate dismissal and removal from the course with no refunds provided.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Required docuements will be sent via email to the parent/guardian email listed above.  Each form will need to be filled out, signed, and brought to the first day of camp - June 28th.  Please arrive a few minutes early to process all paperwork.

Cancellations:  If not paying by credit card, your check or journal payment must be sent at least 10-days prior to the workshop or event.  If the workshop or event is cancelled by SJCOE, participants will be notified and will obtain a full refund. No refunds or credit will be given to participants. Substitutes are welcome.
