9:00 - 10:00 am - Deploying USB, HDMI, and DisplayPort Bus Powered Solutions in AV System Design - Joe Cornwall, Cables 2 Go.  Class qualifies for 1 CTS RU credit  

 It has never been more important to have a clear understanding of the limitations of various common bus powered devices. Interactive video panels rely on USB connectivity. Auto-switching solutions rely on power delivered by the video source. Digital-to-analog converters (DACs), media converters and signal extenders embedded in cables and termination boxes often depend solely on the power supplied by the video or audio source. Do you know that your system will perform, or are you just hoping it will? This course will help you avoid the most common pitfalls of bus powered A/V solutions and ensure that your system delivers quality, dependable performance.

10:30 - 11:30 am - Digital Audio Networking formats - AVB, Cobranet, Dante, BluLink - which one to use, and when? - Jim Ure, Harman.  

 Moving audio around installations without any analog degredation is key to sound system performace.  Jim will discuss the approach to using different digital networking designs using varying venues as examples.  Whether you are designing a house of worship system with a digital console and broadcast split, or a university audio system add-on, or a simple classroom system that spans accross long distances, Jim will help get you started on the right way to approach these system design challenges.  

12:30 - 1:30 pm - Using Architectural Acoustics to Improve AV system performance - Jay Perdue, Perdue Acoustics.  Class qualifies for 2 CTS RU credit  

 Could we get the man that has more working patents in Architectural Acoustics than any one on the planet to come teach us for an hour on Acoustics? We can and we did! 2:00 - 3:00 pm - JBL installation loudspeaker demonstration - Jon Sager, JBL Professional.  

We know that it is tough to specify loudspeakers without hearing them first.  We will have over 12 installation loudspeakers from the AE, AE Compact, AE extension, CBT, and AWC series for you to audition.  Jon Sager, Director of Installed Sound, will be on hand to run you through the best installation products in the business.  Feel free to bring any demo material that you would like to hear.  Jon will show you the right too for the job.

3:30 - 4:30 pm - Basic Lighting Design for Performance and Entertainment spaces.  -  Brad Haynes, Martin Lighting.  

 Lighting guru Brad Haynes will show you how easy it is to design a basic system for any performing venue.  Whether house of worship, nightclub, performing arts, or architectural spaces, Brad will show you the basics of how to design a system to meet your clients' needs.
