Master quilter Sandra L. Toenjes designed, sewed and donated this one-of-a-kind Texas-themed quilt to support TBCF’s work. Toenjes created the quilt over a three-month period following a visit to Texas last fall.

The design incorporates multiple patterns and embroidery elements to represent the expansive and diverse Texas landscape. “With each look at the quilt, you discover some new facet of Texas life looking back at you,” notes TBCF Executive Director Jody Carton (Toenjes’ daughter). “This fine example of craftsmanship captures our culture and our natural heritage all at once,” she added.

The quilt is valued at $1,500 and is fitted for a King-size bed.
