Please join us on Tuesday, September 17th at the Triad Theater, for the Power of Music Concert Series - presented by Daniel's Music Foundation and One Vision Music. Enjoy moving performances by Dina Fanai and Bob Kinkel, as well as the Co-Founder of Daniel's Music Foundation, Daniel Trush with Artistic Director, Gerard Powers plus other special guests, as they share their own personal experiences of the transformative power of music. Daniel J. Watts - Daniel J. Watts has appeared in eight Broadway shows including Hamilton, In The Heights and Memphis. Off Broadway he has starred as the title character in Suzan-Lori Parks' "Death of the Last Black Man in the Entire World AKA The Negro Book of the Dead" (Signature Theatre) & "Whorl Inside A Loop" (2nd Stage). He received the Barrymore Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Sammy Davis, Jr opposite Dule Hill in the world premiere Peoples Light production of Lights Out: Nat King Cole. TV credits include recurring roles on NBC's Blindspot, and HBO's Vinyl & The Deuce; The Good Wife (CBS); Blue Bloods (CBS); Odd Mom Out (Bravo); The Night Of (HBO); Boardwalk Empire (HBO); Person of Interest (CBS); Broad City (Comedy Central); & Smash (NBC). Film: Breakup at a Wedding; Among Brothers; & Freedom. He currently appears as "Felony" in Tracy Morgan's new comedy series The Last OG on TBS. Watts will star as Ike Turner in the upcoming Broadway musical TINA.
 
An accomplished spoken word artist, in 2012 Watts launched WattsWords Productions.  "Daniel J. Watts' The Jam" an homage to his great grandmother who made homemade jam from scratch and gave away what she couldn't eat herself, is a spoken word/storytelling experience fusing a live band, song, dance and multimedia where Watts encourages audiences to focus on social similarities opposed to differences. Most recently, his work is featured in the young adult anthology "How I Resist" edited by New York Times Best Seller Maureen Johnson for Wednesday Books/Macmillan.
 
An educator, Watts has also served as an adjunct professor of NYU's Tisch New Studio. He teaches his own course on how to truly engage in one's self in order to contribute meaningful and personal artistic work.

Alyson CambridgeAmerican soprano Alyson Cambridge, hailed by critics as “radiant, vocally assured, dramatically subtle and compelling, and artistically imaginative” (Washington Post), noted for her “powerful, clear voice” (New York Times) and “revelatory, sensual, smoky readings” (Opera News) is one of the most diverse and compelling vocal artists on the scene today. Her rich, warm soprano, combined with her strikingly beautiful stage presence have brought her over a decade of successes on the world’s leading opera and concert stages, including The Metropolitan Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Washington National Opera, Los Angeles Opera, Carnegie Hall, London’s Royal Albert Hall, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Vienna Konzerthaus, among others, as well as recent debuts Paris, Warsaw, Beijing, and other musical capitals throughout Europe and Asia. Lakshmi MarfilRecording artist, Singer/Songwriter/Composer, Sound Healer and guitarist Lakshmi Marfil Delgado has spent her life working, singing and recording in the Music Industry.  She has toured the World with Dark Latin Groove (DLG), was a signed Recording Artist with Sony/Columbia and has also performed her original Latin Jazz compositions at The Heineken Jazz Festival in Puerto Rico 2012 and at the Dominican Republic Jazz Festival 2013. 
In 2008, she traveled throughout India for 9 months, studying mantra, meditation and yoga. When she returned from her trip, new doors opened for her to perform her mantra music and Bhajans in worldwide sacred events. Her mantra music expanded into the areas of sound healing, sacred sound, toning and healing. The music gifted her a new path in music and the transformation brought her more deeply into the music of her own heart. In 2012, These “heart songs” were recognized and blessed by AMMA, the Hugging Saint from India. She has now been blessed to sing and perform for AMMA six times. 2012-2019.The Power of Music has been the one constant throughout Lakshmi’s life, from performing in Theater, Latin Music, Latin Jazz, kirtan, Sacred Sound, NAAM and sound healing. The power of Music has been her path and true love. The music makes a difference in bringing a higher love into our world by singing ancient sacred songs, which connect us to our own hearts, to each other and to the heart of our universe. She believes in the power of music to heal, open hearts, uplift and transform our world.

ABOUT DINA FANAI

Dina Fanai founded her company One Vision Music (OMV) in 2003 for the sole purpose of using music as a powerful force to create positive change in the world. Dina has performed throughout the world as a singer, songwriter, composer; and as a vocalist with Trans-Siberian Orchestra which she later became head of Artist Development for the band. She is the recipient of grants and awards from The Songwriter’s Hall of Fame and National Endowment for the Arts, as well as leading educational programs in the US, Europe and Southeast Asia. Her recording project CINEMA 12, was featured on Tina Turner’s platinum selling CD “Beyond”. Dina co-wrote and produced 2 CD's for Jackie Evancho, both which hit #1 on the Billboard charts. Most recently, Dina was brought on by the band Foreigner as choir master, arranger and featured vocalist for their 40th anniversary orchestral show, television special, DVD and CD which remained #1 on Billboard for over 4 months. ABOUT BOB KINKEL

Robert Kinkel is a music producer and professional session keyboardist best known for his role as a co-creator/co-producer/co-composer, musical director and touring keyboardist with Trans-Siberian Orchestra. He co-wrote TSO’s 2 hit multi-platinum selling songs “Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)", and “Wizards in Winter” resulting in sales close to ten million. In the past 30 years, Bob has worked with artists such as Five for Fighting, The Who, Aerosmith and Genesis; as well as creating and being the voice on the infamous jingle for Hefty (“Hefty Wimpy”) He was educated at Columbia University & Hamilton College, and has received honors and awards from Williamsville Education Foundation and Buffalo Music Hall of Fame.
