November 25 - MSA Event- 5th Grade Allen Stevenson/Brearley/Sacred Heart 

Please join us for our annual MSA event with our partner - Daniel's Music Foundation (DMF), a non-profit organization that empowers individuals with disabilities through music. Your school will be participating in a very meaningful event on Friday afternoon, November 25th at their state-of-the-art, custom-built music center in East Harlem.

Through storytelling, videos and music, students will participate in an informative, engaging and interactive experience that allows people to see the “ability” in disability. The result is that participants often feel a transformative sense of camaraderie, while simultaneously helping shape a mindset of understanding and mutual respect. Post presentation students will decorate and personalize their own “Just Call Me By My Name” Daniel’s Music T-Shirt using fabric markers, stencils, fabric sprays, accessories and more to enhance the message that we are all unique, and special. All students can keep their shirt as a keepsake.

• 4:00PM - Students & Chaperones Arrive 
• 4:10PM - 5:00PM DMF Diversity Awareness Through Music Program
• 5:00PM - 5:30PM Design Your Own Just Call Me By My Name t shirt
