TheRetreat 2020 

Registration is now open for our 74th annual TheRetreat, America's first and oldest weekend get-away for Jewish men, to be held at Camp Ramah in Palmer MA on June 11-14, 2020.

Our annual long weekend at TheRetreat up can be summed up in three words:   FUN * SPIRIT * LEARNING. Please join us for a long weekend of learning with outstanding speakers, lay-led worship, sports and camaraderie. Come and make this longstanding tradition your own.

This year the weekend will feature an increased emphasis on music in worship and for fun, Poker Tov to raise funds for the Tikvah Program, jokes and singing at the Campfire, plenty of food and drink, hanging out, new and timely HMV discussions, bike ride to Quabbin and other sports etc., etc.

Our Scholar-in-Residence this year will be Rabbi Jeffrey Summit, Emeritus Hillel Director at Tufts University and Research Professor of Music and Judaic Studies at Tufts.  Rabbi Jeff is extraordinarily engaging, with a wide range of interests, experience and expertise (click HERE for his web page), and we are very fortunate to be able to spend our Retreat weekend with him. His CD of music from the Abayudaya, a Jewish community in Uganda, was nominated for a GRAMMY award for best album in the category of Traditional World Music. At camp, he will be talking about the research that resulted in the CD in addition to other topics.

The cost for TheRetreat (including all meals and lodging in a bunk) is $275 for first time attendees and $350 for returning campers.
