Outdoor Birth Doula Workshop, Western MA: October 2020
Are you ready to enter birthwork with a workshop that is insistently practical, absolutely heart-centered, hands-on and unforgettable? In four intensive, fun days, you'll gain the skills you need to launch your own doula practice, helping families have the gentle, healthy births they dream of. Taught by a Certified Professional Midwife who has also attended hundreds of births as a doula over 24+ years.
One of the features that distinguishes this workshop from other doula trainings is that it includes a module with pregnant families. This session will give you a huge confidence boost!
Can I begin working as a doula after taking this workshop?
Yes! After completing the prerequisite reading, observing a series of childbirth education classes, and attending the four-day Doula Training Workshop, participants have the skills to begin supporting women and families in birth.
Graduates of this training have gone on to become active members of the Green River Doula Network and hospital doula programs including the San Francisco General Hospital Doula Program. Others have continued on to apprenticeship in midwifery, attending births internationally, nurse-midwifery training, and/or to start their own independent practice as birth & postpartum doulas. Tuition $600. Reserve your spot with a $100 deposit; tuition balance will be due by Sept. 14th. Or pay in full when registering to save a $10 multiple-payment processing fee.
